Throughout the summer and well into autumn, an elderly woman became the subject of constant curiosity in her small village. Day after day, she could be seen climbing carefully onto the roof of her modest home, attaching hundreds of wooden stakes across its surface. The work was slow, demanding, and unlike anything the neighbors had ever seen before.
